Store installation programs vs. hiring a local contractor directly
Big-box stores generally schedule installation through outside contractors. Lowe's describes its program as a network of Independent Service PROviders and starts flooring jobs with an in-home measurement by an independent installer (Lowe's Installation Program). Floor & Decor says it partners with Installation Made Easy for professional installation (Floor & Decor installation services). The Home Depot also sells installation services; ask the store for its current terms and price.
Those programs work for many homeowners, and prices vary by store and project, so we do not quote theirs here. Hiring Braga Remodeling directly means you talk to the company doing the work, and because we are a full remodeling contractor, a floor project can include baseboards, a toilet reset, a vanity swap or paint without a second contractor.
Two ways to work with us. Option 1 (our main offer): waterproof LVP from $3.99/sq ft installed (Material + installation) — one price for planks and labor, kept low on purpose to build our name in Jacksonville. Option 2: you already bought the flooring, and we install it from $2.00/sq ft (labor only, you supply the flooring). Carpet removal is $0.50/sq ft and old tile removal starts at $2.00/sq ft. Neither is included in the from $3.99/sq ft installed (Material + installation) price. The dumpster fee is $400 when Braga has to haul the debris away. Shoe molding or quarter round is $2.99/linear ft with material, or $3.99/linear ft painted or floor-matched.
Before you compare quotes, check whether each one includes removal, haul-away, leveling, transitions, trim and furniture moving, and who answers the phone if something needs a fix. The same comparison for flooring-only shoppers lives on our sister site: installing flooring bought at Lowe's or Home Depot — jaxtileandlvp.com.
