Luxury vinyl plank flooring installed by Braga Remodeling LVP installers in a Jacksonville bedroom

Overview

Waterproof vinyl floors from a Jacksonville luxury vinyl plank company

Vinyl flooring in Jacksonville covers a family of products — luxury vinyl plank (LVP), SPC rigid-core and sheet-style vinyl — that share a waterproof wear surface. In Jacksonville homes that matters: humidity, sandy foot traffic from the beaches and the occasional spill are exactly the conditions that shorten the life of wood and laminate.

The installation is what separates a floor that looks flat on day one from a floor that still looks flat in year five. We check the subfloor for high and low spots, handle floor preparation and leveling where needed, plan the plank direction and starting wall, and finish the perimeter with the trim or shoe molding your home already uses. We install LVP and vinyl plank across Jacksonville and Northeast Florida — from the Southside and Mandarin to Jacksonville Beach and the Beaches, Nocatee, St. Johns and Ponte Vedra.

What We Install

Vinyl flooring for every room of the house

Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP)

Wide-plank LVP with a waterproof core — the most requested floor in Jacksonville homes, and the one we install most.

  • Wide plank, wood-look finishes
  • Waterproof core
  • Click-lock and glue-down

SPC Rigid-Core Flooring

SPC (stone-plastic composite) planks have a denser core that hides minor subfloor imperfections and holds up to heavy furniture and pet traffic.

  • Dense rigid core
  • Dent and impact resistant
  • Attached underlayment options

Vinyl Plank Installation

Click-lock floating installs and full glue-down installs, chosen for the room, the subfloor and how the floor will be used.

  • Floating or glue-down
  • Expansion gap maintained
  • Seams staggered naturally

Already Bought Your LVP?

If you already purchased the flooring, we can handle the installation labor and the preparation around it. We check the product, quantities and transition pieces before the install date so the job does not stop halfway through.

  • Customer-supplied LVP welcome
  • Removal and subfloor prep available
  • Trim and transitions finished

Whole-Home Vinyl Flooring

One continuous floor through living areas, hallways and bedrooms, with plank direction planned so the run reads straight from the entry.

  • Continuous run, fewer transitions
  • Plank direction planned
  • Baseboards refinished

Kitchen & Bathroom Vinyl

Waterproof flooring cut cleanly around cabinets, islands, vanities and toilet flanges — the rooms where water gets in if the detail work is sloppy.

  • Cut tight to cabinets
  • Water-exposed rooms
  • Clean silicone finish

Vinyl Over Existing Floors

Sometimes vinyl can go over sound existing tile or hard surfaces. We check flatness and finished height at doors before recommending it.

  • Flatness checked on site
  • Door height confirmed
  • Honest overlay vs removal advice

FAQ

Vinyl Flooring Questions

Braga Remodeling (also doing business as Jax Tile & LVP) is a luxury vinyl plank company whose LVP installers put in luxury vinyl plank and vinyl flooring in Jacksonville and the surrounding Northeast Florida communities. Call (904) 520-1994 for a free estimate.

Yes. One crew handles the project from the free in-home measurement through the final walkthrough, so the LVP installers laying your floor already know the subfloor, the plank direction and the trim details agreed at the estimate.

Yes. Customer-supplied LVP is welcome. During the free measurement we check the product, the square footage, manufacturer requirements and the transition or trim pieces needed, then quote the installation and any removal or subfloor preparation separately in writing.

Both are waterproof vinyl planks. LVP is the general category of luxury vinyl plank; SPC has a denser stone-plastic composite core, which makes it firmer underfoot and more forgiving over a subfloor with small imperfections. We recommend one or the other after seeing your subfloor.

Laminate uses a wood-fiber core, so standing water and long-term humidity can swell the edges. LVP has a waterproof plastic or stone-composite core, which is why it is the plank we install most in Jacksonville bathrooms, kitchens and whole-home projects.

Yes. Carpet, pad, tack strips and staples all come out and are hauled away, and the slab or subfloor is cleaned and checked for flatness before the first plank goes down.

The timeline depends on the square footage, the existing flooring that must be removed, the amount of subfloor preparation required and the overall complexity of the layout. After the free in-home measurement, we provide a project-specific schedule in writing instead of a generic time promise.

Yes. Vinyl and luxury vinyl plank flooring installation is one of our main services, throughout Jacksonville and the surrounding Northeast Florida communities.

Vinyl has a waterproof wear surface and core, which is why it is such a common choice in Florida homes. It handles humidity, spills and sandy traffic better than most wood or laminate products.

Yes. Removal and disposal of your existing floor can be included in the project and is confirmed in your written estimate.

Sometimes. Vinyl planks follow whatever is underneath them, so high and low spots have to be corrected before installation. We check the subfloor during the estimate and tell you if leveling is needed.

Often yes, if the tile is sound and flat and the finished floor height still works at doors and transitions. We check on site and tell you honestly whether an overlay or a full removal is the better option.

It depends on the size of the area, the existing flooring, the preparation required and the material selected. The in-home estimate is free and the written quote comes before any work begins.

In most Jacksonville homes, yes. We work room by room, keep furniture staged in finished areas and close off the work zone. If the whole house is going down at once, most families move bedroom furniture ahead of the crew and sleep in a finished room the same night.

We move normal household furniture as part of the job. Refrigerators, washers and dryers can be pulled and reset when the connections allow it. Pianos, gun safes, aquariums and anything unusually heavy or fragile should be handled separately, and we tell you that at the measurement, not on install day.

Floating vinyl expands and contracts with heat. In a vacation home, rental or a house left closed up in the Florida summer, we leave the correct expansion gap at every wall and often recommend a glue-down or SPC rigid-core plank instead of a click-lock floating floor.

Yes, and most Jacksonville homes are slab-on-grade. Slabs release moisture, so we check the slab condition, grind or patch the high and low spots and use the right underlayment or adhesive for a slab installation.

The plank surface is waterproof, but water that sits underneath a floating floor still has to come out. Glue-down installs handle standing water better. If a floor gets soaked, call us — often only the affected area needs to be lifted, dried and reset.

It is the main reason it is so popular here. The wear layer resists scratches from claws and sand, spills wipe up, and a matte wide-plank finish hides day-to-day traffic better than a glossy one. Thicker wear layers hold up best in busy households.

Yes. We finish the perimeter with shoe molding or quarter round, reinstall or replace baseboards, and cut clean transitions at doorways so nothing is left for another trade to come back and fix.

Start dates depend on the current schedule, material availability and the scope of your project. We confirm the actual installation window in writing after the in-home measurement and project approval.

Send the estimate form on this page, or call (904) 520-1994. We reply within a few business hours to schedule the free in-home measurement.
